Normally a weight should be captured very quickly, but ancillary software or domain settings may cause a slowdown. If you are experiencing slowdowns follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Disable antivirus software running against the FileMaker Pro or NRGship directories

If the weight capture is still slow, then proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Disable UNC Check

NOTE: Some users have experienced a slowdown issue related to Windows Domains. When the scale application is invoked Windows is trying to open it from an invalid directory. Windows churns for a few seconds and returns an error (which we remove from the weight result) stating "CMD.EXE was started with the above path as the current directory. UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory."

There are two ways to disable this check, please follow A or B.

NOTE: Be sure to backup your registry before editing.

a. From the Start menu select "Run" and type CMD [enter] to display the command prompt. Enter the following command:
REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor" /V DisableUNCCheck /T REG_DWORD /F /D 1

b. You can use regedit and add the following registry value on your machine.
Under the registry path: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor
Add the value: DisableUNCCheck REG_DWORD and set the value to 0x1

After editing the registry you should reboot.
