Zebra Technologies Recalls Power Supply Units for Thermal Printers

Name of product: Power supply units for Zebra brand thermal printers

Hazard: The power supply units can degrade and corrode over time when exposed to moisture and overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Users of LightSpeed OnSite, the leading retail POS solution can enjoy simplified shipping for ecommerce or retail customers with NRGship Pro for UPS. Orders can be conveniently downloading to NRGship in a single batch or processed one at a time by invoice number. Post-shipment, tracking and cost data is placed back into LightSpeed. Enhancements for OnSite 2016.1 include the ability to add line items with actual or adjusted shipping cost.

Can’t see your contacts?

Many Mac apps will ask for access to your Contacts or other data to provide a seamless user experience. If you deny access on launch, it’s easy to allow access at a future time. Simply open your System Preferences and choose Security & Privacy. From this screen you can select Contacts and then check the box to allow access to the listed apps.

Save green with UPS Smart Pickup®

Having UPS stop at your business only when you have a package can save fuel, reduce carbon emissions and save you some money off the cost of standard UPS Daily Pickup. By utilizing UPS Smart Pickup® your pickups can be scheduled on demand. When you ship your first package of the day, NRGship will communicate with UPS and the driver will receive a UPS Smart Pickup notification to pick up all prepared packages. If your first package is processes too late in the day the pickup will be scheduled for the next business day or you can find a UPS location for drop off.

UPS Smart Pickup® can be easily configured for your UPS account by setting up a default pickup time. One the pickup service is enabled, you can turn it on in NRGship or NRGship Pro by simply checking a box to enable UPS Smart Pickup®.

NRG supports iDimension scanners

To further assist shippers with carrier dimensional rating, NRGship now supports dimensional scanners from Rice Lake Systems. By simply pressing a button in NRG, package weight as well as dimensional sizes are auto-populated to facilitate accurate rating and shipping.

NRG Software has completed testing of it’s products with Mac OS X 10.10 GM.

The latest versions of all NRGship Mac Products are fully compatible.

NRG supports CubiScan dimensional scanners

Dimensional weight – the carrier rules which use package volume instead of weight alone are destined to become the norm in 2015. Currently dim weight is only used for ground packages greater than 3 cubic feet so carriers don’t loose money on light large packages. Dm weight is calculated by multiplying a package’s length x width x height, and then dividing by a standard dim factor, normally 166. The carrier then bills whichever is greater.

To assist shippers with the new dimensional rules, NRGship now supports dimensional scanners like the CubiScan 110 and 150. By simply pressing a button, the packages weight as well as dimensional sizes are entered into NRGship to facilitate efficient rating and shipping.
