How to host NRGship files on FileMaker Cloud

NRG Software is excited to announced that the current release of all NRGship solutions are compatible with FileMaker Cloud hosting.

First you will need to use FileMaker Pro to upload the NRGship files to your cloud server using the Upload to Host menu option. Once the files are uploaded, you will need to open the databases for hosting with the Admin Console for FileMaker Cloud and assign an encryption password for each file. Be sure to note your encryption password for future reference as you will need it for updates to NRGship.

For security reasons, FileMaker Cloud does not support automatic login to a FileMaker Pro file using a specific account and password. Using FileMaker Pro v18 or above you can modify NRGship for easy integration with your existing database files by creating groups for external authentication.

NRGship Pro for UPS is compatible with macOS 10.15, Catalina

NRG Software is excited to announce that NRGship Pro for UPS 2018 is now available for download. This version includes full compatability with macOS 10.15, Catalina. Please see our support documentation for information on upgrading or watch the quick video below. macOS 10.11 or above is required to run NRGship Pro for UPS 2018.

NRGship for UPS Compatibility with macOS 10.15, Catalina

macOS 10.15, also known as Catalina was released on Monday, October 9th, 2019. Catalina is is a free update from Apple. It will run on most any Mac made since 2012 and is considered a maintenance update. However, there are some changes which break compatability with applications. Now in it’s 10th year of release, NRGship for UPS has been tested under Catalina however we highly suggest users wait to upgrade to ensure compatibility across all installed applications.

Create UPS Shipping Labels from FileMaker Pro in under 10 minutes

In this video we will show you how to quickly integrate NRGship FM for UPS with your database by adding an external data source, creating relationships with the NRGship tables, and building a basic shipping script. While this video utilizes our UPS solution, the process is similar for other carriers.

With NRGship FM for UPS you can create shipping labels with simple scripting. There is no need to utilize complex CURL, JSON or other functions. NRGship FM for UPS is a carrier-certified UPS Ready® Business Solution which means you don’t need to worry about future service compatibility such as current UPS Developer Kit retirement.

Quickly save labels to PDF

NRGship Pro for UPS and NRGship Pro for FedEx both have the ability to create PDF versions of labels that were originally shipped using output to thermal printers. When printing to a thermal printer, we produce output files that are native to the device. In previous releases if you needed a PDF you would have to void the label and re-ship for laser and then save as PDF. We are now able to convert these labels to PDF so they can be created quickly by choosing the PDF option from shipment detail.

NRGship is Compatible with FileMaker Pro v18

NRG Software is excited to announced that the current release of all NRGship solutions are compatible with the FileMaker Pro v18 platform. Internal testing has not uncovered any issues. As with any upgrade, we suggest customers test their integration before upgrading production systems. Customers using NRG Ship Connect should email sales@nrgsoft.com for upgrade information.

NRGship Pro for UPS now supports Printmatics and Fishbowl Inventory

Recent integrations for NRGship Pro for UPS include support for Fishbowl Inventory and Printmatics. Now you can easily ship from these ERP systems with ease from your Mac. Once configured, simply enter an order # to have destination information auto-populated. You can then capture weights from a digital scale and output labels to thermal printer or other device. After shipment, the order will be updated in the ERP so that tracking data is displayed for full visibility. Contact NRG sales for further information on integration with these systems.

Utilize UPS Ground Freight Pricing with NRGship Pro for UPS

We’ve had numerous requests to add support for UPS Ground Freight Pricing over the past few months. This service is an economical choice for multi-package shipments weighing more than 150 lbs via the UPS Ground service. You can easily toggle between standard UPS services and GFP by entering a Freight Class and toggling GFP mode. In the video below we show you how it’s done.
